Manufactured in France since 2010, in Brittany and the Pays de la Loire region, this equipment enables local authorities, housing estates, event organisers and businesses to regain control of their waste streams and make a tangible contribution to accelerating the green transition.

At the intersection of urban planning, ecology and design, Ekovore develops visible, simple and robust solutions to address very practical challenges: cleanliness, water management, and waste sorting and recycling.

More than just a product range, Ekovore offers a new way of thinking about the city, where every waste stream becomes a local resource.

Ekovore is a brand owned by Faltazi, a socially responsible design agency that has been developing practical solutions to support the ecological transition of local areas for over 15 years.

A resource-based approach

Urine, rainwater, bio-waste and glass are not waste. They are misdirected resources.

Ekovore designs each piece of equipment to collect these waste streams at source and repurpose them for useful applications: agricultural fertiliser, irrigation water, compost and recycled materials.

This approach makes it possible to localise production cycles, reduce transport and minimise material waste. It is in line with the principles of the circular economy, without requiring heavy infrastructure.

Ekovore does not collect or process resources.

The brand designs equipment that facilitates the implementation of data streams and integrates seamlessly into existing or emerging systems. These solutions act as essential technical building blocks: they make data streams captureable, usable and acceptable in the public sphere.

They simplify processes, improve operational efficiency and enable the roll-out of supply chains without the need for major changes. By making waste flows visible, Ekovore is changing the way things are done. The equipment becomes an educational tool that encourages new behaviours.

As a result, local authorities and private sector organisations are developing models that are more energy-efficient, self-sufficient and resilient.

References and deployments

Since 2010, Ekovore has been providing equipment to around thirty local authorities in France and across Europe, in a variety of settings: town centres, events, densely populated neighbourhoods and community gardens.

Uritrottoirs are in use in Toulouse Métropole (23 units), Nantes (12) and Brussels (10).
